Soul Choirs serve festive fabulousness!
Well, what a brilliant few months! As usual, the first term of the year has flown by and it ended in funky, festive style with incredible concerts and performances!
From Christmas light 'switch-ons' to a night performing at the famous KOKO to dancing with a giant gingerbread man - our fantastic Soul Choirs have been singing their hearts out, bringing joy to anyone who was lucky enough to hear them!
Our Mid, West and East Kent Soul Choir concerts were huge successes - we entertained brilliant and supportive crowds to great acclaim. Our 'pop-up' performances were also well received and, proudly and gratefully, through our audience's generosity so far, we will be able to donate a wonderful amount to this term's chosen charity, The British Heart Foundation. We still have a couple more performances to collect at and, as soon as we have a final amount, we'll be sure to share it!
This term, our London Choirs were invited back to the Clore Ballroom in the Royal Festival Hall. Other highlights include Sparkle in the Park and performing with the incredible Louise Marshall, Imaani and Toni Momrelle of Incognito fame and Odyssey at KOKO in Camden!
Our Kent Choirs also lit up their local communities and towns singing at the Tunbridge Wells Christmas Village, The Dicken's Festival in Rochester and launching Whitstable Castle's Christmas light trail to name but a few - we are also performing at the beautiful Crescent Turner Hotel where we are headlining with a night of festive soul! To help launch two of our brand new choirs, coming in January, we'll be singing in Margate's Old Town and Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross in the New Year.
As usual, our members have worked so hard to bring the Soul Choir arrangements to life and, without that commitment, passion and sense of community, we wouldn't be able to deliver such magic. We can't wait to get stuck in to next term but, for now, on behalf of our Directors, Abi and Ross, the Leaders and Team - we thank you for supporting us and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and 'Soul-tacular' New Year!
