CONCERT - RUNNING ORDER
2pm - Choir Members Arrive
2:30pm - Full Rehearsal/Sound Check begins. There will be chairs so everyone will have a seat and we will have a short breaks throughout during area songs.
5pm - Tea break. There are a couple of local pubs - The Hare at Blean (15 min walk) and The Royal Oak (a short drive). You can drive into central Canterbury which takes about 10 mins with lots of parking available. There is not much space to remain on site so we suggest you make arrangements to pop out - the cafe at the Gulbenkian is a 5 minute drive away and serves hot and cold food and has lots of outside seating in the University grounds if you wanted to bring a picnic with you.
6:45pm - You will need to be back at the venue, promptly, please. There will room for minimal clothes change but the space will be open to all so please consider this. We recommend you come as 'ready' as possible so all you have to do is freshen up for the performance.
7:30pm - Showtime!
Approx 9:20pm - end of concert
9:45pm - After party starts (sold out)
11:30pm - Bar closes
Midnight - Event end
All belongings will be safe in these break out/green room space as it will be locked while we're performing.
Please remember to bring water with you.
THERE WILL BE NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR FILMING ALLOWED DURING THE CONCERT - We will be having the concert professionally filmed and a download link will be available to buy in the coming weeks - all profits going to Action for Children.
DRESS CODE:
Smart (Cadbury) purple and/or black clothing. Silver or gold accessories. You can go as sparkly and sequinned as you wish - in fact, we encourage it!
No choir hoodies, t shirts or blue jeans please.
No bold or colourful patterns but lace and subtle embossing in the colours mentioned above are fine.

Key Participation Requirements:
- Attending the mass rehearsal is not compulsory but is highly recommended. It will be your only opportunity to practise fully with the band.
- On concert day, you must arrive at the venue by 2:00 PM.
- Important: If you cannot arrive by 2:00 PM, you will not be able to participate due to the complexity of staging and coordination.
If you cannot attend the concert, we will still offer at least one pop-up Easter performance as an alternative.
AFTER-PARTY
Celebrate the birthday concert with us at the 'Soul Choir's Birthday After Party!'
- Time: 9:45 PM – 11:30 PM (immediately after the concert).
- Where: Readmission at the venue
- Enjoy DJ Deano, the fantastic soul DJ, and celebrate with your fellow members!

Public Event Information
A spectacular gala concert featuring the community soul choirs from Whitstable, Canterbury, Ramsgate and Margate with Rochester, Maidstone and Kings Hill, plus special guests the sensational vocal trio ‘We3’.
The best in soul music from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Candi Staton, Beyonce, and Prince performed in technicolour harmony celebrating the 15th Birthday of UK Soul Choirs.
